Andrea and Brian’s West Chester Wedding
Andrea and Brian is one of several weddings over the past few months we've had the pleasure of being a part of. I am so backed up with blogging, but with a much needed winter/holiday break ahead, hopefully I'll have more time! I asked Andrea if she'd give us a little blurb for the blog, so check out her wedding inspiration below.
"The wedding was at St. Agnes Church in West Chester, PA (where I was baptized), and the reception was at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, DE. I basically wanted a "classic" wedding. I just really wanted it to look elegant... kind of like a fairytale. Rose petals were sprinkled on the dance floor, and the du Pont did a "show" with the bananas foster.... they literally thought of everything! The harpist was a surprise to us from my parents (I have been saying that I wanted a harpist to play at my cocktail hour since the third grade when i had my birthday be a tea party at the Bellevue hotel in Philly). There was a harpist there and I just loved the sound. It sounds like angels to me!
Brian and I met at the University of Scranton. He was a senior when I was a freshman in the fall of 2000, and he was an RA in my building! We remained friends and didn't start dating until years later but we got big Scranton magnets for the trolley and limo that day. I wanted my friends to be themselves and have fun walking into the reception do a few of them did dances and stuff."
