1. Awesome Stop-Motion Engagement Session

So something i’m trying to get better at is blogging. With that, I thought it would be neat to start blogging about other wedding related content, besides just Monachetti’s own videos. So today I thought it would be cool to show off this sweet video we featured on BridePop a few days ago. I’ve put it below, but be sure to see the original post over on the BridePop Blog.

  2. Denaye and David in Washington DC

Every aspect of this wedding was so AMAZING. From the preparation all the way through to the reception at the Corcoran. I met Denaye and David through my good friends Nicole and Brad from SOTA Dzine (photos below) at the Washingtonian ‘Best Of’ Summer Party. I am so glad I did, they were such a pleasure to work with.

The night before we shot the rehersal dinner on the rooftop terrace restaurant at The Kennedy Center. This was something new for Monachetti, and it was so much fun. Getting the chance to do shoot video for that event helped us feel even more a part of the actual wedding day. I honestly don’t know what I enjoyed more during the day. We spent a lot of time taking pictures with the SOTA team outside in DC and that always helps us get great candid footage (we highly recommend this brides)!

We wanted to say thanks to Denaye and David for such a great time, and wish them the best future together!

Music: All songs by Phoenix from the album Wolfgang Amadeus.

I am continually blown away at the work from SOTA Dzine. Be sure to see more pictures and the original post by clicking here.

  3. The Monachetti Re-Brand

Whoah! Two blog posts in one day! Not like me, but i’m trying to get better. :)

I know I blogged about my new business cards and re-brand a few weeks back, but I wanted to share some more  images relating to it all. As I mentioned before my good friend Tommy Davis re branded Monachetti by making some sweet adjustments to the “M” circle, re-designing the website, and will now be making me custom DVD packages for every new couple.

Tommy recently graduated from Flagler College in Florida, and compiled a portfolio book of his recent work which can be seen online digitally right here. Below are some images from the book that I think better illustrate what he did for me. The last one is a picture of him and his fiance from their engagement shoot! They are getting married this weekend, and I have the pleasure of shooting the wedding. I am so exctited, and can’t wait for the video to come together!

Here is the first page as you open the book:

  4. Joanna and Justin

Joanna and her family have been a long time friends of mine since I can remember. When her marriage was announced, it was a no brainer that I would want to do her wedding video, and I must say it was such a delight. Getting to visit South Carolina and spend the day with a lot of long time friends, made the whole time that much more enjoyable. I wish Joanna and Justin the best! Enjoy the video!

  5. Alisha and David’s Newton White Mansion Wedding

When Alisha contacted me to do her wedding months back, I was so excited because I hadn’t done a wedding outside at the Newton White Mansion in awhile. It was such a gorgeous fall day, and Alisha and David were so much fun to work with. Enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments!

  6. PHOTO SHOOT WITH SOTA DZINE

I wanted to share some fun photos with everyone I recently had done. Nicole and Brad from SOTA DZINE took the amazing pictures, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Nicole and Brad not only have an amazing talent for creating top notch photography, but during the process they also are super talented with making you feel comfortable. If you are a getting married, or just want amazing portraits done, get in touch with them today. Below is a gallery of some of my favorites. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments!

  7. New Monachetti Business Cards!

I wanted to show off my new business cards I am so VERY excited about! They are plastic, all white, and have a gold foil finish. The re-branding was done by my good friend and graphic designer Tommy Davis. I had the cards made by a company called Plastek Cards. I’ve always been inspired by some of the design and feel that certain credit cards can sometimes give you, so I thought applying that concept to my own branding and business. Enjoy! Let me know what you think in the comments!

  8. South Carolina Weekend Wedding

I spent this past weekend in South Carolina, where I had the opportunity to film a friend’s wedding. It’s always great getting the chance to do weddings for friends, because it’s always a re-union of sorts.

Before and after the wedding, I got the chance to catch up with some great friends, and enjoy the comforts of South Carolina. It’s one of those states that has the ability to make you feel at rest, just by the surroundings. And, of course, I shot a wedding, which I can’t wait to edit and deliver to the happy couple.

I’m excited to say that Monachetti is now listed in Google’s local business results. This means that when searching for all things Monachetti, it will be much easier to find this site, and the information you need. Stay tuned for some more videos, and fun wedding related news! Also, even though I am listed as a “maryland wedding videographer” I LOVE to travel. No matter where you are or where you are getting married, if you’d like me to cover your wedding, please get in touch today.

  9. THE NEW MONACHETTI SITE!

So I wanted to take a minute to let everyone know that I am super excited for this new site! The re-branding, layout, and overall look is something i’m very proud of. A big thank you to my good friend Tommy Davis, who did all the design, and re-branding. He is a super talented graphic designer and you can see some of his work at his website, The Scout Collective.

The new site is something i’ve been itching to have for awhile now. I wanted something to reflect my wedding videos in a simple, yet unique way. At the same time, I needed something that I could completely manage on my own. The whole site is built on WordPress, allowing me to make quick and easy changes at any time. I am working with a developer now to make some subtle, yet fun tweaks to make the site more interactive. So if you see a section that might look a bit un-finished, be sure to check back soon as changes will be happening weekly.

    Thanks!

  10. Eliza and Micah’s New Years Wedding

So much to say about Eliza and Micah’s wedding, I’m not sure where to start. The fact that it was on New Year’s Eve added so much fun and excitement to the whole day. You felt like you were a part of something special, something that will be remembered for years and years to come. From the emotional and heartfelt ceremony at 6th and I, to the never-ending party at Hotel Monaco, I enjoyed myself from beginning to end.

Below the video are links to the other fantastic wedding vendors involved who made the day come together. Laura Weatherly from Engaging Affairs also had some great things to say on her own fun blog, Bridal Bubbly. So be sure to check that out. Enjoy the video and feel free to let us know what you think in the comments, or on Facebook and Twitter!
