Lauren and Luke’s John James Audubon Center Wedding

Lauren and Luke was another one of my couples who I never had a chance to meet, given the distance and scheduling. But, when my crew and I arrived at the hotel in PA, they both could not have been more welcoming and sweet. It set the tone for what was such a fun day. Given they both have known each other for so long, I asked Lauren to give us a quick story about how it all unfolded. Check it out below.

“Luke and I met in high school and were friends ever since. We always had this strong attraction to each other since we met but somehow the timing was always off. After years of thinking what if.. Time was on our side and everything lined up for us to truly be together. It quickly became the best year ever and each year after that became more exciting then the last. We got engaged in Montreal on 9/7/11. Luke surprised me and proposed in front of St Joseph’s church where my grandparents got married. We both love music so much so after the proposal we went to see Pearl Jam to continue the engagement celebration!

We started planning the wedding soon after and found the perfect venue randomly in Pennsylvania which was about 2 hours from where we live in NJ, at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. It was just what we were looking for to host a low key wedding with our closest friends and family and just celebrate and have a big party!

When the big day arrived on 10/7/12 the weather wasn’t in our favor. It was freezing and rainy and our ceremony moved from outside to in-doors. But none of that even mattered or phased us – we had the best time and enjoyed every min of our wedding! We are so happy to have this video that captures all the special moments of the day so we are able to re-live it all over again :)”
